We know that what we wear to dates isn’t exactly important but let’s be honest—our pre-date ritual consists of choosing the perfect outfit. Besides, isn’t it a big plus when you wear something dressy? And it’s quite hard deciding on what to wear, really. Should I wear a dress? Or a skirt? What about jeans? Will shorts be alright? Whatever you decide on wearing, go for it. Being comfortable for your dinner date goes without saying. Skin-tight jeans that give you difficulty breathing won’t make you look sexy. You want to have a good time and NOT worry about it. You need an outfit that’s easy to wear, give you confident and talk, eat, sit, walk and breathe without thinking about it. Always bring a jacket or a sweater because the night gets a little chilly most times. Don’t try to look like another person. If it’s a little fancy, then find something dressy and not something that will make you look underdressed. Don’t do overdressing as well. Stick in the middle. When your date comes along, it will give you all the confidence you need. You don’t need new clothes. But if you want to wear something new for your date, go for it. It depends on you, really. Because wearing something new could actually make you feel the specialness that is connected to something “new” with no pressure at all. You get that sense of a particular “something” with no outlay or pressure. Practice sitting down because slouching is totally unattractive. Also, check to see if you’re top will end up tugging at your neckline while sitting down. Sometimes it just happens and in that moment, you don’t ever want that to happen. So if you decide on accentuating one of your features, choose your lips. Go for pink if you want him to hold his attention on you for 7 seconds and red for 9 seconds. Show only 40% of skin. So if you show your legs, cover your arms to balance it out. And if you wear a strapless dress, make sure it is aligned to your knee or just below it. Walk tall! That means, opt for high heels. Not something high that you can’t carry. Most men think a 3-inch heel should be the maximum. Lastly, listen to mood-boosting music while preparing yourself for the date so you wouldn’t feel your nerves kicking in. Let’s face it; we often feel the butterflies going wild especially when it’s just our first date with him. But the nerves will just ruin the wonderful time you’re going to have and you don’t want that.
